The Formovie THEATER has arrived in the UK, a month or so after the ultra-short throw (UST) projector's release in the US. Sold by Pure Theatre in the UK, the Formovie THEATER recently outperformed the likes of the Hisense PX1-PRO and the Samsung 'The Premiere' LSP9T in the 2022 Laser TV Showdown, hosted annually by ProjectorScreen and Projector Central.

In short, Fengmi re-branded as Formovie outside China. Equipped with Android 11 on Android TV, the Formovie THEATER has three laser light sources (ALPD 4.0), utilises TI DLP display technology and offers 2,800 ANSI Lumens of peak brightness with 107% coverage of the Rec.2020 colour space and a 3,000:1 contrast ratio. Additionally, the project has 8-point keystone correction and can create up to 150-inch images with a 0.23:1 throw ratio.

Moreover, Formovie has included Bowers & Wilkins-tuned speakers that output at 30 W. Furthermore, the Formovie THEATER has three HDMI 2.1 ports and delivers 41.9 ms of input latency when gaming in 4K at 60 Hz. Currently, the UST project is orderable from Pure Theatre for £3,499, including shipping and VAT. Alternatively, Formovie sells the projector in the US for US$3,299 with a US$200 discount.
